The exhibition will present about 60 companies from Brazil, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, UAE, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, Switzerland, South Africa and other countries. The traditional event, which for seven consecutive years has been jointly organised by the exhibition company Iteca and Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, will demonstrate the opportunities for travellers in Kazakhstan ahead of the Asian Winter Games in 2011.
Astana Leisure will take place on 28-30 September in the Korme Exhibition Centre in Astana. The organisers are confident that Kazakhstan’s regions will occupy an important place at the exhibition: hotels, boarding houses and health resorts will be presented as separately, both at the stands of regional administrations and the administrations of the cities of Astana and Almaty. As for international exhibitors, along with the familiar national stands, travel agencies and tour operators for leading tourist destinations have been invited to participate.
The latest news about the exhibition is that Thailand will take part with a national stand (last year they had a break) and, for the first time, South African tour operators will be presented at Astana Leisure at separate stands (last year there was a single stand with the South African Embassy in Kazakhstan). In addition, Sin Elite Group (Italy) and Carioca Travel (Brazil) will again come to Astana.
The exhibition sectors include: regional tourism organisations; tour operators and travel agents; airlines and air agencies; hotels, boarding houses and health resorts; airline ticket booking and sales; transport agencies; trade associations and organisations; insurance and banking services in tourism; information technologies in tourism; ecological tourism and more. Astana Leisure 2010 will also include a comprehensive programme of seminars by exhibitors, which will present new products for the autumn- winter tourist season.
