Food industry and agriculture exhibition to be held in Shymkent for the first time
Iteca - organizer of prestigious agricultural and food exhibitions all over Kazakhstan, such as AgroWorld Kazakhstan, KazUpack, WorldFood Kazakhstan, InterFood Astana and HOREX Kazakhstan is pleased to announce that in 2015 the portfolio of these events will be complemented by South Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Agribusiness and Hospitality Industry” - AgroProm Shymkent.
The anticipated event will take place from 17th to 19th of September, 2015, alongside with the 2nd International Investment Forum in the city of Shymkent.
AgroProm Shymkent exhibition is organized jointly with the Akimat of the South Kazakhstan region, with the active support from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of South Kazakhstan region and Kazakhstani Unions of Farmers and Poultry keepers.
The main sections of the exhibition are: AGRO - agricultural machinery and equipment, greenhouses, animal husbandry, poultry husbandry, gardening; FOOD - food products, beverages, equipment and packaging and HORECA - kitchen and sales equipment and sale automation.
One of the main topics of the 2nd International Investment Forum will be the development of agribusiness and the food industry in South Kazakhstan region; state aid and the investment attractiveness of these industries will also be discussed.
Undoubtedly, AgroProm Shymkent exhibition held in conjunction with the Forum will be a place to discuss the most important issues of future development of agribusiness in the region and attract the attention of key industry experts.
It is expected that a busy business agenda will accompany the Forum as part of the exhibition: on September 17, a round table “Development of export and import potential for fruit and vegetable sector in the Central Asian region”, as well as B2B meetings with producers and buyers of fruit and vegetables on September 18 and 19 will be held.
South Kazakhstan region holds a leading position in the country in terms of gross output for a number of agricultural crops. Of total production in the country, the share of South-Kazakhstan region accounts for 100% of cotton, 71% of grapes, 66% of melon and gourds, 51% of safflower, 42% of fruits and 25% of vegetables.
At the same time, the production of staple foods, and demand and consumption are growing. Over the past 3 years the production of meat and meat products has increased by 14.8%, dairy products - 13.9%, bread and bakery products - 13.4%, beverages - 26.8%. The region has a high level of food production, it accounts for 12.7% of the national production of food and beverages.
In connection with the prospective development of agribusiness and related sectors in the region and its location bordering with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, the organizers expect that AgroProm Shymkent exhibition will become an annual significant event for the region’s economic development.
AgroProm Shymkent 2015 exhibition will present domestic and foreign companies producing raw materials, manufacturing equipment and inventing technologies for agriculture.
