Almaty gets an Iteca alley
Iteca employees planted an alley of trees in the park of the Atakent exhibition complex. A total of 37 tulip apple trees were planted. In addition, three aports were planted to honor the employees that have been with Iteca from day one. These include the Regional Chair of the company Edward Stroon, Director Yuri Borodikhin and Financial Director Elena Alikberova.
"Iteca was happy to accept the invitation of the Atakent exhibition complex to take part in the green event. Iteca loves Almaty and we want to make our contribution to improving the city's environmental situation. Our company's staff said they wanted to continue to take care of the trees they planted," noted Edward Stroon.
As an exhibition company Iteca plays a major part in promoting business tourism in Kazakhstan. Every season major international exhibitions are held that bring up to 70 thousand participants from 74 countries around the world to Kazakhstan.
Apple trees were randomly selected for the planting. When tourists come to Almaty they learn about the history of the city and very soon right next to the exhibition center they will be able not only to take a stroll down the new alley but also taste the local apples.
